Dr. Pierce will be providing professional training to the staff at Emerson Elementary School on creating a trauma informed culture in the school setting. The training will teach staff how trauma impacts brain development, attachment, and self-regulation. Attendees will also learn about trauma triggers and the alarm response. Deescalation and behavioral intervention strategies will also be covered during the training.
