For the October training, Aaron Foster (therapist with SWFGC) will be co-presenting with me on Trauma Informed Play Therapy and treatment planning based on the ARC Model (Attachment, Regulation, Competency). A loosely formatted discussion that introduces the participant to the dynamics of non-directed play therapy, including:
The symbolic meaning of toys
How to approach the child and the playroom
Dynamics of Trauma and how it shows up in play
How to identify the somatic expression of trauma in play
How to connect play therapy to your treatment plan and progress notes
How to incorporate parents into the therapeutic process
The presentation will include time for participants to discuss current clients.
CEU Certificates will be made available for this training.
