Diagnosing and Providing Intakes for School Based Child/Adolescent Clients

Description: This training is designed to help therapists providing school-based therapy to feel more comfortable doing their own intakes with parents and students, and to feel more comfortable providing an appropriate diagnosis for a child.
Topics we will be covering:
-intake paperwork
-all of the various sections of the new BIOIA on Welligent
-handling parent questions and concerns at the intake
-dealing with the Medicaid portal and insurance issues
-appropriate use of APS funds to pay for student treatment
-issues to think about in assigning a student a diagnosis
-and anything else anyone has a question about regarding intakes and diagnoses
